Medium: watercolor (OMG, my first non-digital work on dA!!!!!) Original size: 23"x30"
Notes: AUGH. Okay, so I finished my first-ever painting course a couple weeks ago. The focus of the course was watercolor, and it was a total blast to work with. The painting itself is sort of big and it took me about an HOUR to scan it in and stitch the pieces together in photoshop =_=
Working on this made me realize that I really am quite insane, and probably not a little masochistic.
This is the kind of painting you can stare at for a really long time and still find something new everytime you look back. It was definitely worth the effort!

Art is something that anyone can do, regardless of age, supplies, beliefs or location. It is the most universal way to express emotion and communicate ideas and that is what makes it the only truly beautiful thing in my skeptical, nihilistic eyes.
It is fun to work with but you do have to be patient. I really appreciate that you did it though in Watercolor as opposed to digital. I worked in digital a long time ago and I came back full circle to making things with my hands. I think it's awesome to use the digital works as plans for a final in a traditional medium. To me, that is taking it the notch above.

Do you mind if I host it on my blog?
